Bio Compression SC-2008-DL sequential compression pump

Lymphedema is swelling caused by impaired lymph drainage. An intermittent pneumatic compression device uses a pump and inflatable garment to apply a programmed sequence of pressure to an affected arm, leg, or other prescribed area. It may be one part of a larger treatment plan that includes skin care, movement, compression garments, and lymphedema therapy.

When might a pump be used?

A clinician may recommend home pneumatic compression when swelling persists and the person needs ongoing management. The device and garment are chosen for the body areas involved, clinical needs, and ability to use the equipment. Pumps do not replace the rest of a comprehensive lymphedema plan.

What does treatment involve?

The prescribed garment connects to the pump and its chambers inflate and deflate in sequence during a session. Medequip can help with fitting, setup, and training. Use only the settings, schedule, and garment your treating team specifies. Stop and contact your clinician if treatment causes new pain, unusual numbness, skin changes, or worsening swelling. Ask your care team before use if you have a new infection, suspected blood clot, or a change in heart or vascular health.

AIROS 6 / 6P compression device

AIROS 6 / 6P

The AIROS 6 uses six sequential chambers and offers gradient therapy with an accessible display. Compatible garment choices address upper or lower limbs; the 6P expands options for selected lower-trunk and leg configurations. Your clinician specifies whether those features fit your plan.

AIROS 8 / 8P

Prescription, fitting, and coverage

A prescription and clinical documentation may be needed. Coverage varies by plan, diagnosis, device type, and the payer’s medical-necessity rules; a covered billing code does not guarantee coverage for your specific situation. Our team can discuss the order, garment measurements, benefits review, and next steps.
